There are already many recognized varieties of Persian cats, more than a hundred that differ from each other by the size, type and color of their fur and also by the shape of the face. One of them is the one with a much flattened face, eyes very close to the nose, similar to the Pekingese dog that is why it is called Peek Face. All these varieties have long hair and a gentle character in common. His face of him has that typical aristocratic and majestic expression that characterizes these cats.
  7. Its fur is very abundant, long and silky. Its length varies between 10 and 20 cm in the layer. It not only abounds in the body but especially in the legs and tail. Based on the color of their fur, a classification of Persian cats arises: single colors, various colors and with drawings.
  8. Those of a single color can be white, black, blue, cream and red (the least common).  Depending on the color of the coat, the color of the eyes also varies, for example black with orange or copper eyes is very common.
  9. Those that have more than one color can be with the following combinations: Black and white; White and red; white and cream. In these two-colored cats, the spots are located on the head, legs and tail, not on the coat.
  10. Others have up to 3 colors appearing spots on the coat, for example black, cream and red spots. Generally this number of colors occurs in females. Males of these colors are sterile. You can also give the combination white, cream and red.
  11. Those that are considered patterned are those that have marbled fur with different types of patterns and color combinations, some have bands on the coat, others have spots or are brindle.

  13. When they are sterilized, you have to be very careful with their food because they tend to gain weight and their legs become overweight.
  14. To bathe them you have to get used to them from a young age, with gentle movements so that they do not get scared, with warm water and cat shampoo. If you brush it before the bath you will save yourself a lot of work during and after the bath.  After the bath we must dry it with a towel and with a hair dryer.
