A dog needs to play to develop its skills, as well as to have a free and strong character and maintain good self-esteem. It is not good that if your dog spends a lot of time at home he does not practice activities. To design a dog playground just keep your dog’s needs in mind and follow this guide.

Instructions for Designing a Dog Playground

  1. Reuse things that can serve you. A dog playground does not necessarily have to be expensive or difficult to design, the important thing to create this type of place is to organize the ideas of how we want our dog playground to look like and what things we can reuse.
  2. Use old clothes as a toy for your dogs. Dogs like to chew on things and play with them, including clothes. That’s why it’s a good idea to leave old clothes in your dog’s playground for him to play and snuggle up in whenever he wants. Also use empty plastic bottles for your dog to play with.
  3. Leave a place where your dog’s toys are always accessible.
  4. You will need a place with a lot of space. Dogs need to run a lot to be in shape, so it is necessary that your dog’s playground has enough space for him to move freely.  In addition, the place must have natural land where your dog can dig and excavate his toys and bones from him.
  5. Set up fences and fences in your dog’s playground that he can jump over to practice his jumps.
  6. Install a special drinking fountain for your dogs, since it is a playground they will need to drink water every time they get tired. In case you have puppies it is better that the drinker has a level low enough for them to reach it.
  7. Install tunnels so that your dog can enter and hide in them as well as walk inside them.
  8. Leave a dog house so that your dog can sleep or rest after playing and take shelter from the sun and light on warm days.
